Title: Sanctuary Caption: My Daughter Joey with Bookhead at Shields in December Explanation: My wife and I visited our alma mater with our three children. It was a chilly, wet, and overcast morning in December, yet we enjoyed the company of the Eggheads (and the ducks and ducklings at Putah Creek). For this picture, I wanted to capture the ethereal quality of the experience, so I adjusted the coloration to have a subtle tint of blue. The picture appears as if Bookhead (the only Egghead with a blue-pigmented enamel coat) is emitting an other-worldly glow, offering a communal space for my daughter Joey to stand in casual repose. |
